The National
Professional Rodeo Association is entering it’s 19th
year in operation. The NPRA was founded in 1987 as the Northern
Plains Rodeo Association. The name was changed to the National
Professional Rodeo Association in 1995 to reflect the expansion and
growth of the association. The NPRA sanctions Rodeo and Bull-A-Rama
events in many states across the Upper Midwest. Every year the
schedule grows and more people are exposed to quality rodeos that
provide excellent family entertainment.
The NPRA
membership continues to grow by leaps and bounds. . We are continually adding more dates to keep up with the
demand from our rodeo contestants and fans.
The NPRA
Finals has also seen a tremendous growth since its inception. In
1987 & 1988 the Finals were held in Williston, ND. In just 2
years, we outgrew this facility and found ourselves moving to the
All Season Arena in Minot, ND. The NPRA was able to repeat it’s
return to the All Season Arena for seven consecutive years. Due to
further growth of the Association, the NPRA Finals were then moved
to the Civic Center in Bismarck, ND in 1996, where we are currently
holding our yearly Finals.
The NPRA is
the top rodeo association in the region. The excellence of the
competition is spectacular and the quality of stock is second to
none. The NPRA demonstrates the ultimate in family entertainment.
